How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you make them perfectly? There are many recipes and methods I tried, but none worked. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

First, eggs can be very temperamental ingredients for making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. It is best to use room-temperature eggs if you are going to cook them right away.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg for 10 seconds in the microwave before placing it in the pan. The heat from the microwave cooks the egg just enough without overcooking it.

Next, let us talk about how to mix the eggs. When mixing eggs, it is important to thoroughly beat them. You need to turn the bowl of the mixer upside down. Now shake the bowl vigorously. This will whip the air around the bowl and mix the egg well.

The fun part is now - adding the milk to the mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Once the oil has gotten hot, add 1/4 cup of butter and swirl it around so that the entire pan is coated. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet forms, cover the pan again. Let the top side set completely. Flip the omelet upside down or with a spatula. Cook the other half for another minute. Serve the omelet immediately by removing it from the pan.

This recipe is best made with whole milk. However, it can also be used with skimmed milk.
