Roby enrolled in the celebrity pitmaster Harry Soo's barbecuing cooking course in 2018. As a result, she became a certified pitmaster and was soon working in a barbecue restaurant.


Her passion for barbecue began as a hobby and she eventually became obsessed with BBQ. She started out by cooking on her backyard patio. She then went on to compete at barbecue competitions all across the country, where she cooked alongside some of the most renowned pit masters in America. She has opened a number of pop-ups in Dayton, Ohio since then. She plans to open a food truck.

In the upcoming third season of Food Network BBQ Team Brawl, two of the world's top chefs will join forces to compete for the ultimate grilling title.
