How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets have always been a favourite food to eat for breakfast. How do you make them perfect? Many different recipes and methods have failed to work for me. So I am sharing some tips and tricks today to help you make fluffy, delicious omelets every morning.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This will make your omelets appear strangely colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. To do this, grab the bowl of the mixer and turn it upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. By doing this, the egg is thoroughly mixed with the air in the bowl.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After folding the eggs, place the pan on medium heat and wait for the oil to start sizzling. When the oil is hot enough, add 1/4 cup butter to the pan. Stir it around until the butter covers the entire pan. Now carefully crack open the lid of the pan and sprinkle salt into the pan. Salt will prevent the omelet sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet with a spatula, or flip it upside down. Cook the second side for a minute or so. Take out the omelet and place it in a bowl.

This recipe works best with whole milk, but skimmed milk also works.
